May’s local elections brought a brilliant result in Bexley, with the Conservatives retaining control of the council after a hard-fought campaign. Reports show the party secured 26 of the 45 seats, continuing Conservative leadership in the borough despite a challenging national picture.
It was a real pleasure to campaign alongside friends and colleagues in Bexley in the run-up to polling day. From doorstep conversations to leafleting sessions, the energy and determination from local activists were clear throughout.
This result is a credit to the Bexley Conservative team, their candidates, councillors and volunteers, who worked tirelessly to earn people’s trust and make the case for responsible local leadership.
For those of us in Dartford, it was great to play a small part in supporting our neighbours. Local elections are won by hard work, strong local candidates and a positive record of delivery, and Bexley showed just how much that matters.
Congratulations to Councillor David Leaf, Louie French and the whole Bexley Conservative team on a well-deserved result.
