30,000 people have signed the ULEZ petition set up by Dartford Conservatives, calling on the Labour Mayor of London to scrap his planned ULEZ expansion. 

This scheme will be a disaster for working people, who will be penalised for simply travelling to work. 

It is disappointing to hear that Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has backed Sadiq Khan’s plan to expand ULEZ. 

Gareth Johnson said he was pleased the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Secretary agreed with him in condemning the Mayor of London’s decision to extend the ULEZ across the capital, which will effectively tax Dartfordians travelling into the capital.

Dartford Conservatives have submitted a response to TfL and the Mayor of London on the ULEZ Expansion consultation stating our opposition to the proposal.

In response to a letter from a group of Conservative MPs, the Labour Mayor of London confirmed that he continues to explore the feasibility of a new charge, that will impact Dartford residents.

Many local residents have spoken out against the proposal and highlighted how this would impact their daily lives, from travelling to work and doing the weekly shop.

Conservative London Mayoral candidate Shaun Bailey has joined Dartford residents in condemning Sadiq Khan’s proposed Greater London entry charge, outlining the harm it would cause to families and businesses in both Dartford and London.
